Facilities

The park has a small shop selling the basic essentials along with the must have bucket and spade and a selection of ice-creams and cool drinks.

There is a heated toilet and shower block with hairdryer and a launderette complete with iron and ironing board.

Why not have a picnic and enjoy the scenery of the coastline in front of you.

Other Activities

Nearby at Barend there is an indoor swimming pool with a Restaurant and, for golfers, Colvend Golf Course is close by. For the children there are farm parks and play parks in the area to enjoy such as Dalscone Farm Fun, Mabie Farm Park and Dino Park.

For the more energetic visitor there are a number of the 7stanes mountain bike trails in the surrounding area or for the birdwatcher amongst us, then RSPB Mersehead is the place to go. There are castles galore in the area; from the ruins of Threave Castle, only accessible by boat and Maclellan’s Castle in the centre of the harbour town of Kirkcudbright, to the grand castle, gardens and activities at Drumlanrig Castle.
